Introducing LYN-30

One sunny day in beautiful Montenegro we met with Nick Alexeeff, an aviation and shipping engineer. He showed us what he could do with trimaran hulls – a 7 meter boat going 60 knots (yes, sixty) with a lousy 40 hp engine. That was unheard of. I, on the other hand, a proud owner of the old Ryo-32 ART Italian day cruiser that drinks gasoline faster than I can put it in the tank, was dreaming of making electric boats for a long time.

“What if we make an electric boat with your hull designs?” – I inquired.

We shook hands and that’s how Lynboats was born.

We have spoken to Ivan Erdevicki, a renowned superyacht designer, and when he heard about our concept he agreed to work on a tiny (compared to his usual 45-60 meter yachts) 9-meter boat. Everything has fallen into place.

Very early design inspiration, will drastically change as Ivan does his magic 🙂

Now we are working full-on to deliver the first LYN-30 electric cruiser to you by spring of 2023. It will be powered by twin 100kW inboard engines, which will give us a comfortable 20-25 knots cruising speed with top speeds up to 40 knots. Four quiet vertical wind power turbines of original energy efficient design will top the battery up as you enjoy your rides.
